Play Hard + Sleep Hard = Thanks Grandma Sally!

We were lucky enough this week to have Grandma Sally stay with us and watch Charlee during my last week of work before maternity leave. Charlee had a great time with her playing dress-up, reading, dancing, singing and on and on. Charlee is sleeping so well and is ready to go to bed by 6:30-7 each night with no tears...yea! Sally also cleaned our house so beautifully so that Norm and I could have a stress free weekend...she also sent us out to dinner last night...we are SO blessed to have her!

This is Charlee giving alms to the poor

I love my Grandma Sally!

Sleep training = happiness!

Aunt Jenny saved us! She sent the AMAZING book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child and it is changing our lives! Little Charlee went from being an incredible sleeper to deciding that she would rather hang out with us than sleep. That was fine at noon on a Saturday but not so cute at 1 , 2 and 3 am on a Monday! We started sleep training on Saturday and after two nights of sad crying, Charlee now goes to sleep without a fuss at all...it almost seems like she is looking forward to it! Thank you Jenny and Dr. Weissbluth!

Charlee has decided that she really likes to sleep on her side and we find her in this position more and more. Her other fav is on her back with her arms over her head...so cute.

Balboa Staycation!

Wow, what an incredible week we had filled with laughter, new adventures, balboa bars, cinnamon rolls, fireworks, sand, sand and more sand, fishing, family, reading, eating, eating and more eating and feeling so blessed. We had 301 pictures from the weekend it is nearly impossible to choose which ones to put up so here are some highlights. Hope you enjoy!

Boy, do we love this child! Our niece Gracie has this smile on her face all the time and it just warms your heart...especially with her new teeth!

Jenny with the girls...Charlee loved her Aunt Jenny!

Gramma bought the girls matching watermelon sandals, watermelon PJ's and Swim suits...they were SO cute!

Gracie loved 2 things most of all this week...bubbles and Charlee's chair

Us at the beach with our little beach bunny!

This is one of my favorite pics of the week...Pops, Gracie and Jenny introducing Gracie to the water.

Charlee ate rice cereal for the first time on the 10th and LOVED it! Surprise, surprise that she loved food so much. She now lunges for the spoon!

Uncle Jim and Charlee Marie

The Girls had a great time together and Gracie continued to be as sweet as can be with Charlee

Charlee is a bit sleepy but here she is with Pops in her Angels gear-- Thanks Koppe's!

Bath time in the sink...so fun!

Pops and Gracie walking to the beach

Jenny, Pops and I went fishing with Jer, Elizabeth and Amanda...we had such a fun smelly time!
I think this is my all time favorite picture of my sister...she looks so proud of her fish that she caught-- it was only slightly bigger than the bait! It was, however, poisonous so at least if it was little it packed a big punch!
Drinking beers on the boat with Pops...we have been going on the same boat for about 20 years!

Charlee's first ceareal...she is smiling from ear to ear!

'I Love my belly!'

Charlee is almost as big as Gracie!

Snuggling with Mama at the beach

Charlee is liking tummy time more and more and can now roll over both ways...here she is, the bathing beauty.

We spent a lot of time watching the Olympics...here she is watching intently with Pops
The girls all cozy
I love this shot of Norm and Charlee all swaddled

Girls Day Out!

The boys were fabulous enough to watch the girls for us so we could have a girls day out! We started the day with catching MamaMia and happened to be the only ones in the theatre. Then we ate a delicious lunch at Daily Grill. We spent the afternoon in deep relaxation with massages and topped the day off with Sprinkles cupcakes. It was an amazing day with my mom and sis and much needed :)

In the theatre after MamaMia-- Gramma was dancing in her seat!

At the spa after our massages...do we look relaxed?

Pops turns 60!

Holy Moly, Pops turned 60! We had a blast partying it up at our Balboa Beach house for Pops's 60th birthday bash. Hard to believe that this fit and fabulous man is in his sixth decade!

'What up?'-- Norm did Gracie's hair in a fabulous mohawk...too funny!

Grandma Sally loved her snuggle time...and Charlee loved it too.

Gramma had matching shirts made for Pops' day...here we are rockin the t's

We took a fabulous ride in a Duffy boat around the harbor with the Clymers to celebrate the birthday...it was a blast.

Charlee pooped out with Pops-- SO cute!

4 Months Old!

Wow, our little one is growing by the day! She went to the doctor on Wednesday for her 4 month check up and shots. She weighed 13.4 lbs and is in the 45th% for weight and was 25.25 inches long which puts her in the 85th% for height! She is a long baby! The doctor said she is just doing great and commented about how alert and strong she did. She was a brave little soldier and did not cry long after her shots. Thank goodness Gramma came with us so that we had extra comfort! Here are some Grammarazi shots from the last week or so.

Charlee with her new beautiful blankie with all of her birth stats on it...one of Pops's colleagues made it...so amazing!

She loves to rub it on her face :)

Hangin in the Bumbo at Gramma and Pops' house...she looks like the main course!

Peekaboo Baby is such a fascinating read-- Charlee has started to turn pages so she is loving all of her books
