The Famous Football Hold

In an attempt to keep little Charlee Marie awake in the evening so that she sleeps at night, Pops enacted the famous football hold- it worked! She just loved looking around at everything...too cute!

Parents Night Out

Norm and I got our first night out this weekend! Grandma Sally came and was Charlee's first babysitter so that we could go out for our 4 year anniversary. They had a great time and Grandma did not set Charlee down except to take pictures for 4 hours!

Partying with Grandma is exhausting!

On our way out the door...we missed her so much while we were gone

Chillin' with Grandma

I was sleeping so soundly when...

Mom kept taking pictures....now I am NOT happy!

Almost 3 weeks old!

We have had a great week with Charlee and can hardly believe that she is almost 3 weeks old. She had her first bottle this week...she seemed to like it! It was fun for Norm to get to feed her. She is a night owl just like her dad...surprise, surprise...which is forcing me to get used to being up at night :o)

Peaceful sleeper...during the day of course

First Bottle!

Serious snuggle time with Pops

Fun during week two!

Week 2 was full of fun firsts. Auntie Jennie came to visit from Colorado and Charlee just loved snuggling in! Norm took Charlee on her first walk with Girdie. They went to Pittsford park and back. Charlee looked around the whole time and seemed to enjoy being outside. We went to the doctor yesterday and she now weighs 8 lbs and is 21 inches long...she is growing!

Maternity Pics and Family

Here are some proofs from our maternity shoot that we took the day before I went into labor...talk about timing! Hard to believe that Charlee was born just 2 days after these pictures were taken. Also, Auntie Sarah visited from Colorado a week ago with Grandma, Papo and Great Grandma Shirley. Charlee was spoiled that day!

Grandpa

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for my grandpa. He lost his battle with Alzheimer's last night and passed away. We are grateful that he is no longer suffering but of course are very sad at the loss of such an amazing man. I am so grateful that Charlee was able to meet him before he passed. My dad wrote this e-mail and I think that is sums everything up perfectly. Thanks again for your thoughts!

I want to let you know the Cedric (Big Andy) passed away quietly last night at 8:45pm. After suffering the last few years with dementia it was a blessing he passed away still being able to recognize his children and knowing that he was loved. Dad was a good man, he loved life, and his family and friends. I know he will be missed by all and we can take comfort knowing that he is in a better place. I am sure our Mom was there to greet him and they can start the next journey together.

We are following Andy’s wishes and he will be cremated, we will have a close family service later this summer in Flagstaff where he will be buried next to Jean.

I know Andy would want all of you to love you families, enjoy each day, smile and make others smile and when you think of it look to the heavens and say “HI”.

Love,

Charlee and Great Grandpa Andy

Little Charlee Marie was able to meet Great Grandpa today and we are so grateful that we could take a picture of her with his hand. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Gramma got some cute pictures of her on the way home from the hospital that we wanted to share as well.
